She was driving a gold Honda Element with New Mexico license plate LNJ-659. Anyone with information on Hamilton or her whereabouts can contact Detective Sgt. Michele Williams of the SFPD Crimes Against Persons Unit at (505) 955-5227 or (505) 428-3710 or any local police agency.

The victim’s condition was not immediately known. Paramedics rushed him to Saint Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Mendoza said.

Two bullets hit the sleeping boy. One grazed his leg and the other shattered his knee, authorities said.

He was taken by ambulance to Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier.

“They just got word that they’re actually releasing him, but he does have a shattered knee,” the boy’s aunt, Gaby Sotelo, told KTLA.

“He’s gonna need surgery on it. So for now, they just put a cast on it.”

The victim’s cousin, Angel Sotelo, said he was sleeping on the couch at the time of the shooting.

“I eventually woke up and I was on the couch, and I just rolled to the floor because I [saw] everyone on the floor,” Angel said.

“I was scared because I didn’t know what to do.”

Angel said his cousin plays football for the city of Santa Fe Springs.

“He’s okay,” Angelo said about his cousin. “Just his leg’s hurting really bad and he can’t walk on it.”

Police say they believe the shooting was gang-related, possibly targeting one of the family members.

That did not sit well with Gaby Soleto.

“They’re trying to put that off on past years, which still doesn’t make it right,” Sotelo said.

“Instead of being victimized once, we’re being victimized twice, being told that we’re at fault pretty much,” she said. “What happened to protect and serve?”

The family says they are relieved that nobody else was hurt, and they hope police will catch those responsible.

“There are so many kids that could have been injured and it could have ended tragic, and they’re out there free and happy,” Sotelo said.

Police say Arthur Anaya killed him and another woman over a late rent payment. Last weekend, Urban’s friends and family, as well as the other victim, Theresa Vigil’s family, held a bake sale to help raise money for the funeral costs. urban’s funeral will be at 10 Wednesday morning at the Saint Anne Parish in Santa Fe. Anaya remains in jail on a $1 million, cash only bond.

Back in October,  spy shots emerged of a camouflaged 2013 Santa Fe rolling around the streets of New York. From what we could tell, the new Santa Fe would be bigger than the outgoing model, and would receive an all-new exterior design. The camouflaged mule also gave us a slight glimpse of the 2013 Santa Fe’s new grille which looks to be very similar to Ford’s old tri-bar grille.

These spy shots from the Hyundai Blog clearly show what those photos hid under all that camo. Up front, the 2013 Santa Fe gets a chrome three-bar grille in a trapezoidal opening reminiscent of the Veloster’s. The new Santa Fe also gets new headlights that follow the same design language of the refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Around back, the 2013 Santa Fe boasts a stylish tailgate and tapered tail lamps, the latter bearing some resemblance to those used on Audi’s Q5 and Q7 SUVs.

The 2013 Santa Fe’s engine choices aren’t currently known, and details likely won’t leak out until the official debut later this year. We’re expecting the next-gen Santa Fe to make full use of Hyundai’s gasoline-direct injection four-bangers, and possibly the 293-hp 3.3-liter GDI V-6 from the recently-introduced Azera.  Rumors are also floating around that the 2013 Santa Fe may get a version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 that’s currently found in the Veloster Turbo and Sonata to help it go head-to-head with the EcoBoost-equipped Ford Explorer.

At the same time, the number of senior citizens in the state who depend on government services will increase, as budgets for programs to help them will shrink.

Deborah Aaron, 56, said nothing as Judge Michael Vigil read the homicide by vehicle charge in court.

She pleaded not guilty.

Santa Fe Police said Aaron slammed her Land Rover into a minivan Friday night while driving intoxicated.

Carla Vasquez, 23, and her four-year-old and three-year-old girls were inside the van. The four-year-old girl died at the scene.

According to the criminal complaint, Aaron admitted to taking an anti-depressant earlier in the day and drinking two glasses of wine the night of the deadly crash.

Police said Aaron failed a field sobriety test. They also said they could smell alcohol on her breath.

Judge Vigil is allowing Aaron to fly to Scottsdale, Arizona until her next court appearance.

She posted a $100,000 cash surety bond and will be required to wear a GPS ankle bracelet while she is in Scottsdale.

Aaron faces up to six years in prison.

The nine-mile chase started on Agua Fria Street and ended when the driver crashed into a utility pole off County Road 56 in La Cienega around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

“Officers were trying to pull over the driver of the pickup for a speeding infraction, and the driver took off in a reckless manner,” Capt. Ken Johnson of the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said.

The deputy’s dash-camera video recorded the entire chase and the crash.

It also caught the passengers trying to flee from police after the crash.

Two of the teen passengers are able to get pretty far and a third teen was tackled by officers right away.

The driver, alleged to be Marco Orozco, was shot with a Taser dart after deputies say he would not follow orders to get out of the truck and reached under the front seat.

Johnson said Orozco should have never been behind the wheel to begin with that morning.

“He’s not licensed; he is 15 years old,” Johnson said.

Eventually the other two who bolted after the crash were found.

One of them, Mario Sarmiento, 18, is facing a long list of charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The other passengers, ages 16 and 17, were released to their parents.

Officers asked Orozco why he didn’t just pull over.

“The driver told the officer that he didn’t want to go to jail as the reason he fled from them,” said Johnson.

The two teens released to their parents are not off the hook.

Johnson said they will also face charges to include minor in possession.
