The new Santa Fe, or ix45, is still under embargo until 2012 New York Auto Show and Hyundai has only released a couple of renderings of the car so far.

The interior of the 2013 Santa Fe is right on the money. It follows the same cool layout first seen in the new Sonata and then continued in the i40, i30, Azera and Veloster. Just like the exterior, the cabin is also completely different over the current Santa Fe, which is a good. We also hope they have increased the quality of the used materials, especially the seats which used to get worn rather quickly.

The new generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe has leaked for the second time ahead of its official debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show April.

After the South Korean based automaker Hyundai has announced back in January that the 2013 Santa Fe will be officially presented to the public, the Asian SUV has leaked revealing its new lines in the same month, but now the model is once again placed into the spotlights, this time by the guys at the Hyundai-blog.com, who have recently published a brochure with the new generation of the vehicle getting ready for the audience at the over-seas automotive event next month.

According to our source, the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe will be fitted with advanced safety luxury features, along with the “must have” Blue Link infotainment system, smart park assist, lane departure warning system, knee airbag for the driver and many other things. The 2.0 liter diesel engine has been revised for the 2013 Santa Fe and rumors are saying that the SUV equipped with this unit is burning an average of just 5.88 liters of fuel every 100 km. More details on the new generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe, or ix45 as it is also being known, will be announced at the 2012 New York Auto Show on the 4th of April.

SXSW started as a music festival with 700 attendees in 1987. It has grown to a far more comprehensive event that includes film and high-tech companies, with more that 16,000 attendees. It takes place March 9 to 18.

Shoot Santa Fe is out to target independent filmmakers with the effort, said Luca Ceccarelli, owner of HDNM Entertainment LLC and one of the founders of the New Mexico Post Alliance.

A Santa Fe hairdresser is waging his own boycott of sorts: He is denying service to the governor of New Mexico because she opposes gay marriage.Antonio Darden, who has been with his partner for 15 years, said he made his views clear the last time Gov. Susana Martinez’s office called to make an appointment.

“The governor’s aides called not too long ago wanting another appointment to come in,” Darden told KOB.com. “Because of her stances and her views on this, I told her aides, ‘no.’ They called the next day asking if I’d changed my mind about taking the governor in, and I said ‘no’ again.”

Martinez has said marriage should be between a man and a woman. Darden, who said he has cut the governor’s hair three times, said he won’t serve her unless she changes her mind about gay marriage.

“If I’m not good enough to be married, I’m not going to cut her hair,” Darden told The New Mexican on Wednesday.

“I think it’s just equality, dignity for everyone,” he told KOB.com. “I think everybody should be allowed the right to be together.”

Scott Darnell, a spokesman for Martinez, said: “The governor has been very clear that she does not support gay marriage but does believe that all people should be judged on their merits and not discriminated against.”

He noted that Darden was not her usual hairdresser and that following reports of his decision, the governor’s office got calls from more than 10 salons on Wednesday saying they’d be “happy to cut the governor’s hair,” Darnell told The New Mexican.

Martinez has come under some criticism from the religious right for naming an openly gay man to a post with the state Public Regulation Commission, KOB.com said.

Santa Fe College student ambassadors led more than 300 area high school juniors on an educational scavenger hunt on Tuesday, hoping to get the students thinking about college applications early.

The college hosted its annual “Just for Juniors” admissions event for Alachua and Bradford county students.

David Durkee, the college’s incoming student body president, helped students from the Horizon Center as they listened to financial aid and student life professionals.

“It’s an opportunity to find out what college is about with just enough time to make changes and make things happen,” he said.

James Howe, an 18-year-old Horizon Center student, said, “Santa Fe seems pretty cool. It seems like I could get something out of it.”

Kenny Holmes, a Santa Fe student development specialist, talked to students about clubs and intramural sports. Kivi Ellis, 17, asked if there was a boxing club on campus.

That’s the beauty of college, Holmes said.

“If you want to start it, you can start a boxing club,” he said. “There’s so much to get involved in, but then your books come No. 1.”

Guidance counselor Sherry Smith said the trip provided exposure that students would not otherwise get.

“They are seeing there are people who look just like them that are here (at Santa Fe) and they have opportunities, also,” she said.
